I started my business in 2016 as a residential framing subcontractor, working hands-on in the field and learning firsthand how buildings come together. Early on, I discovered that many plans look good on paper but don't always translate well to the jobsite. Certain details may appear correct in a drawing yet create unnecessary challenges during construction.
That experience shaped the way I approach design today.
In 2020, I expanded into building homes from start to finish, designing our own spec homes as well as custom homes for clients while remaining actively involved in the construction process from foundation to final completion.
Today, GLM Designs focuses on creating practical, permit-ready plans for custom homes, shops, barns, arenas, and outdoor living spaces. My goal is simple: to provide designs that not only look great on paper but are thoughtful, buildable, and rooted in real-world construction experience.
